CBSE 12th Board Exams 2021 Cancelled - Safety of students priority, says PM Modi

CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 have been cancelled. Taking the final decision, PM Modi said that safety of the students was paramount and they should not be subjected to such stress.



Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12 Board Examinations 2021 have been cancelled. The information was passed on that the CBSE would not be conducting the class 12 board examinations 2021. As to the more of the evaluation, details are still awaited.

Taking the decision on the much debated and awaited issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said, 'Health and safety of our students is of utmost importance and there would be no compromise on this aspect.' He also said that anxiety among student, parents and teachers must be put to an end. 

"Students should not be forced to appear for exams in such stressful situation. All stakeholders need to show sensitivity for students," he added in the high level meeting chaired by him.  

CBSE 12th Result 2021 Evaluation Criteria

As for the evaluation criteria, the same has not been finalized as yet. It was noted that the board would take steps to compile the results in an objective and time bound manner. It was also added that in case students want to appear for the examinations, CBSE would organize Board Examinations at a later date when it is conducive to conduct the examinations.

The announcement comes as a huge relief to lakhs of students who have been rallying the government requesting the same. Political leaders including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Omar Abdullah have welcomed the decision. Taking to twitter, Kejriwal said, "I am glad 12th exams have been canclled. All of us were very worrid about the health of our children. A bif relief".
